MoonCatcher Project Ivory Coast

We were honored to receive the following heartfelt letter from our partners at Impactful Education. an organization that works with schools in rural communities in the Ivory Coast to build libraries that function as educational hubs. These hubs provide youth who have been left behind with free access to literacy and technology resources.

Dear Ellie,
I hope you are doing well. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible generosity and partnership.
Last year, several of our girls were unable to attend our summer program because they were on their menstrual cycle and did not have access to the necessary products. It was heartbreaking to see something so natural become a barrier to their education and confidence.
This year, thanks to you and The MoonCatcher Project, that story has changed. Your donation of 35 reusable pads has allowed every one of our girls in Anyama to participate fully — without fear, interruption, or shame. Because of your kindness, 35 girls can now attend school and engage in their programs with dignity and freedom.
Your work reminds us what true empowerment looks like: it’s practical, compassionate, and life-changing. Thank you for being part of our journey and for standing with us in creating a world where no girl misses school because of her period.

With deep appreciation,
Korotoumou Ballo

The numbers are in! During the period of October 1, 2024 - September 30, 2025, MCP coordinators in Africa facilitated the production over 21,000 MoonCatcher Kits for delivery along with our reproductive health curriculum to schoolgirls in Uganda, Malawi and Kenya.

Locally - we provided over 70,000 period products to menstruators in need in our own community. Additionally, we donated over 12,000 products to local food pantries, shelters and service organizations
