May 28th is Menstrual Hygiene Day.

Menstrual Hygiene Day is an annual awareness day on May 28 to highlight the importance of good menstrual hygiene management at a global level. We invite you to celebrate this day by hosting a Moon-Vie Night in your own home, on your own schedule, or by making a donation to our MHD campaign!

What is a “Moon-vie Night”?

Pick any day between May 1st-28th that works for you and follow these easy steps: (You do not need to let us know what date you choose!)

  • Invite a few friends

  • Enjoy your favorite foods and drinks

  • Dress up or down (your party, your style!),

  • Select a movie from our list

    • Turning Red

    • Pandora's Box: Lifting the Lid on Menstruation

    • Queen of Katwe

    • Periodical

    • Period. End of Sentence

    • Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret

  • Watch, enjoy, and report back.

  • Raise money and collect menstrual products to address local and international period poverty

  • Does the host have to share their date with the MCP team?

    • Nope! Once you sign up using the form, you will be provided more information about where to stream movies from. The rest is up to you.

  • Should I charge my teammates?

    • Not exactly… keep in mind this is a fundraiser, but any amount of money raised is greatly appreciated!
