What is international menstrual hygiene day?

The MoonCatcher Project is joining hundreds of organizations across the globe to participate in International Menstrual Hygiene Day (MH Day) 2018.  MH Day will help to break the silence and build awareness about the fundamental role that good menstrual hygiene management plays in enabling women and girls to reach their full potential. In a world where menstruation is considered a taboo topic, or even shameful and embarrassing, this campaign is encouraging us all to talk about it.

four weeks - four ways to help

let's talk about it!

From May 10 - June 9, 2018, there are four ways that you can get involved and play an integral part in our local campaign:

  1. Share your moon story!  Write a paragraph or two about an experience with menstruation, your first period, or how you learned about menstruation.  Your story can be funny, serious, poignant or educational.  Join our community of people who are talking about periods. Send your story to tmp@mooncatcher.org.
  2. Support our important work!   For less than a half yard of fabric or $5.07 we can provide a girl with everything she needs to manage menstruation and help her stay in school.
  3. Share our project with your friends and family.  Share our website address (www.mooncatcher.org) and share our FaceBook posts.  Help us get the word out!
  4. Help us raise funds!  Use our template to set up your own fundraising page to support the MoonCatcher Project.

help us provide mooncatcher kits to 2000 girls!
